About W.R.W. (Wilma) Oosthoek
Introduction
Wilma studied Medicine (BSc) at the Erasmus University and Medical Humanities (MSc) at the University of Utrecht. After working as teacher and educational innovation policy officer at the Public Health department of Erasmus MC since 2021, she began as PhD candidate at iMERR in September 2024.
Her research focuses on reconceptualizing the health advocacy competence in medical education, with the aim to develop a valid assessment tool.

Teaching activities
Teaching activities include a contracted position as VIP-coach (coaching medical students in the formation of identity and professionalism track), supervising projects/theses and facilitating the Climate & Health Challenge game. She also develops education on patient participation during MD curriculum.
