About R.N. (Ravish) Gangapersad

Introduction

I am a current PhD candidate at Erasmus MC Pharmacy and the Erasmus School of Economics. I recently earned a master's degree in Applied Mathematics, which provided me with a strong foundation in statistical analysis and modeling.

My research focuses on the socioeconomic determinants of psychotropic medication use in children and adolescents. Specifically, I aim to identify the complex relationships between socioeconomic factors and psychotropic medication use in young people, and to explore potential avenues for improving health outcomes in this vulnerable population.

As a doctoral candidate at Erasmus, I am eager to collaborate with healthcare professionals, public health experts, and other stakeholders to gain a deeper understanding of this important topic. My interdisciplinary research approach incorporates advanced statistical methods and cutting-edge data analysis techniques to draw meaningful insights from complex datasets.

I believe that my research can contribute to the growing body of knowledge on the social determinants of health, and ultimately help inform policy and practice, aimed at improving health outcomes for children and adolescents.
